Adah Odom

Adah Grace Odom, 6 months and 12 days, October 6, 2016 to April 18, 2017...

Our sweet baby girl, welcomed to the world with love from all over only to be the one to show us what real love is. Loved by her mother, Rebecca White Odom, father, Everett Odom, big brother Maston Cole Odom, grandparents, Rudy and Patricia White and Dan and Wanda Odom. Adah, also, has so much extended family who loved her. Along with family, she made the hearts of all her nurses, doctors and staff at Duke University Hospital's PC ICU unit full of love with her sweet smile, growls and giggles. Adah was surrounded by her parents and some of her special nurses when she decided it was time to become our special angel in heaven. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, please consider becoming an organ donor in Adah's honor as well as donations to Ronald McDonald House of Durham, 506 Alexander Avenue, Durham, NC 27705, in memory of Adah. The staff of Ronald McDonald House of Durham have been our family and home away from home while we were with Adah.

A Graveside Funeral Service will be held Friday April 21, 2017 in Great Marsh Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Don Goforth officiating. A Visitation is scheduled for Thursday April 20, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at McNeill Mackie Funeral Home. Arrangements by McNeill Mackie Funeral Home of St. Pauls.
