Betty Herring

Betty Walters Herring, 85, of St. Pauls, NC died Thursday November 16, 2017 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton. She was born in Robeson County, NC May 17, 1932, a daughter of the late William Perry and Ethel Mohr Walters. A loving mother and wife, she was a member of the First Baptist Church of St. Pauls. She worked as a seamtress in the textile industry, retiring from Gerber. Preceded in death by her husband, Carl Lewis Herring, she is survived by a daughter, Deborah H. Brisson and her husband Don; sons, Wayne Herring and Randall Herring and his wife Lisa; 6 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and a sister, Libby Gaultney. A visitation will be held Friday November 17, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 PM at McNeill Mackie Funeral Home of St. Pauls with a funeral service scheduled for Saturday November 18, 2017 at 2:00 PM, also at McNeill Mackie Funeral Home of St. Pauls, with the Reverend Pat Hash and Reverend Wiley Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in Floyd Memorial Cemetery in Fairmont, NC. Arrangements by McNeill Mackie Funeral Home of St. Pauls.
