Bobby Tyner, Sr.

Bobby Thomas Tyner, Sr., 75, of St. Pauls, NC died Saturday February 2, 2019. He was born in Cumberland County July 16, 1943 to the late Archie Blue and Claudia Snipes Tyner. A US Army veteran, he served with NATO forces in France. He retired from ICI in Fayetteville and served as a Deacon with Tolarsville Baptist Church. He loved his family and was a wonderful father. The youngest of 11 children, he was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Mary Elizabeth Troublefield, Clyde “Buddy” Tyner, Ruby Guy, Sarah Ratley, Jane Hunnicutt, Betty Furmage, Agnes Clark, Isabel Tyner and Archie Tyner. He is survived by his wife Marilyn Porter Tyner of the home; son, Thomas Tyner of San Leandro, CA; daughter, Teresa Tyner Trull and husband Tim of Ewa Beach, HI; son, Jeff Tyner and his wife Betsy of Pinehurst, NC; grandchildren, Mary Elizabeth Trull, Timothy Lane Trull III, Grace Ann Trull, Natalie Faith Trull, Hannah Kate Trull and Nicholas Alexander Tyner; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held Tuesday February 5, 2019 at 3:00 pm at Tolarsville Baptist Church with a visitation scheduled for 1-hour prior, from 2:00-3:00 pm. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, 322 8th Ave., 7th Floor, New York, NY 10001 or Tolarsville Baptist Church, PO Box 558, St. Pauls, NC 28384 in lieu of flowers.
