Claxton "Tom" Thomas

Claxton "Tom" Thomas, 83, of St. Pauls died February 7, 2016. He was born April 27, 1932 in Hunt, TX to the late Floyd William and Marion Louise Duncan Thomas. Funeral Services are scheduled for Thursday February 11, 2016 at 2:00PM at First Baptist Church of St. Pauls, with the Reverend Pat Hash officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday February 10, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 PM at McNeill Mackie Funeral Home of St. Pauls. Mr. Thomas was a Deacon with First Baptist Church of St. Pauls. He retired from the US Army Special Forces having served 2 tours of duty in Vietnam and being awarded the Purple Heart, Bronze Star with V Device, and the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm, among many other honors. Additionally, he retired from the US Postal Service, Lafayette St., Fayetteville. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Thomas; sons, Leonard "Tom" Thomas and his wife Traci and Brian Wheeler and his wife Pam; daughter, Kay Lerner; and several grand children and great grandchildren.
