Daniel Thompson

Daniel C. Thompson, Sr., 68, of Fayetteville passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 6, 2017 at Highsmith Rainey Specialty Hospital with his family by his side. He was formerly of Pittsbugh, PA. He is survived by his wife, Carol A. Thompson of the home, son Danny Thompson and wife Terri of Lumberton, son, Sven Stahnke of Germany, daughter, Amiee Thompson of Fayetteville, sister, Ellen Schmidt of Pittsburgh, PA, 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. There will be a visitation with the family on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1000 Andrews Rd, Fayetteville from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at 12:30 pm at the church with Father Jack Kelly presiding. A burial will follow the service at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery, Fort Bragg, NC.
