Devin "Rooster" Allen

Devin Tre Scott “Rooster” Allen, 25, of Parkton died Monday May 18, 2020. He was born in Sampson County, NC on April 17, 1995 to Kristopher and Heather Hunt Allen. A 2013 graduate of St. Pauls High School, he was a mason working for Bramble Construction. He was a big Oakland Raiders fan. It was said that music was his thing, all kinds of music, but especially Mac Miller. He was a hard worker and had a big heart.  He was preceded in death by grandmother, Judith Ann Jackson; grandfathers, Ed Allen and Lee Wayne Hunt; great grandmothers, Laura Ann Hunt Burlington and Melba Allen; and grandparents, Dock and June Jernigan. Rooster is survived by his parents, Kris and Heather Allen; sisters, Jaida and Lakoda Allen; grandmother, Susan Allen; fiancé, Pam Fulcher; mother-in-law to be, Tish Lamb; and many friends. A graveside funeral service is scheduled for Sunday May 24, 2020 at 3:00 pm at Oak Ridge Cemetery in St. Pauls. Arrangements by McNeill Mackie Funeral Home of St. Pauls.

To Devin's family, my deepest sympathy for your loss. I remember Devin's excitement for life as a child. He helped make his year in my fourth grade class one I'll always remember. I know he'll be missed by all who knew and loved him. May God's grace, and perfect love be with all of you.
