Frankie Barker, Jr.

Frankie Lynn Barker, Jr., 34, of Fayetteville died Tuesday August 25, 2020. He was born in Cumberland County, NC on January 2, 1986 to the late Frankie Lynn, Sr. and Tonya Denise Carter Barker. Frankie's life was made full with the love he had for his lovely daughter, Taylor. He spent some time working in the sales department in the auto industry.  Frankie was an avid fisherman and enjoyed exploring and discovering the beauty of nature. Riding his motorcycle, listening to music, and target shooting were a few of the activities that he thoroughly enjoyed. Frankie found joy in his ability to teach youth how to get from A to Z, including all the small details in between. Frankie absolutely loved being with his family and especially enjoyed the fellowship of sharing a meal. Frankie is preceded in death by his parents, Frankie, Sr. and Tonya Barker and uncle, Jerry Wayne  Barker. He is survived by his companion, Danielle Durocher and their daughter, Taylor Barker; sister, Autumn Wilson and her children, Hailey, Dylan, and David Kole; aunts, Debbie Brown Curlee and her husband Paul, Evannia Lowery and her husband Lacy and LaDonna Boza and her husband Diego; uncle, Billy Barker and his wife Debbie; half brothers and sisters, Keith Wilson, Jennifer Norris, and Ashley Hammonds; and many cousins and friends. A graveside service will be held Sunday August 30, 2020 at 4:00 pm in Great Marsh Baptist Church Cemetery in St. Pauls. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made in Frankie’s name to McNeill Mackie Funeral Home, PO Box 188, St. Pauls, NC 28384 to assist with funeral costs.
