Gerald Leonard, Jr.

Gerald “Jerry” Broughton Leonard, Jr., 56, of St. Pauls, died Saturday June 27, 2020. He was born in Robeson County on September 20, 1963 to Elizabeth Edge Leonard and the late Gerald Broughton Leonard, Sr. He worked as Safety Manager for the Fluor Daniel Corporation. He was taught the virtues of gardening at an early age and enjoyed his gardens throughout his life. He loved nature and enjoyed spending time in the mountains and at the beach. He was an avid fisherman but most of all he loved his Mom and his family. Preceded in death by his father, Gerald Leonard, Sr. and his sister, Sandra Britt, Mr. Leonard is survived by his daughter Amanda Leonard Houlton and her husband Kenny; mother, Elizbeth Edge Leonard; grandchildren, Damien, Xander, Sophie, Emma and Kolby; step-children, Tiffany Lee, Nichole Tilofaga and her husband Scott, and Brooke Evans; significant other, Joy Evans; sisters, Karen Leonard, Gwen Montierth, Wendy Grimsley and Debbie Leonard; brother, Greg Leonard; ex-wife, Angela Taylor; and many beloved nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the home at 1130 Shaw Road, St. Pauls, NC. A graveside funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday July 1, 2020 at 2:00 pm in Oak Ridge Cemetery with the Reverend David Hodge officiating.
