Harold Hedgepeth

Harold Kelly Hedgepeth, 81, of St. Pauls, died Tuesday February 21, 2017. He was born in Bladen County, NC April 15, 1935 to the late Leroy and Edith Kelly Hedgepeth. He worked in the construction industry as the owner and operator of Hedgepeth Paving, Inc. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Edith Hedgepeth; sons, William Roy and H. Kenneth Hedgepeth; brother, Wilton Merle Hedgepeth; and a sister, Roselyn H. Smith. Survivors include his wife Sarah Cain Hedgepeth; daughter, Ann Allen and her husband Carl of Tar Heel, NC; 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; sisters, Martha Welch and her husband Billy of Lancaster, SC and Julia Davis and her husband Jimmy of Wilmington, NC; brothers Jimmy Hedgepeth and his wife Barbara and Linwood Hedgepeth and his wife Judy, both of Bladenboro, NC; and a brother-in-law, Dr. Robert Smith of Wilmington, NC. Funeral Services are scheduled for Friday February 24, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Bladen Union Baptist Church with Reverend Gary Lucas officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, from 10:00-11:00 AM at the church.
