Harold Herndon

Harold Morris Herndon, 78, of St. Pauls, died Saturday August 10, 2013 at home. A memorial service will be held Tuesday August 13, 2013 at 12:00 Noon at the St. Pauls Presbyterian Church, with a visitation held one hour prior to the service in the church Fellowship Hall and at other times at the home. He was a military veteran of both the U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps. He retired from Newport News Shipbuilding after 35 years. Harold served as an active member of the St. Pauls Presbyterian Church. Preceded in death by his parents, H.D. and Lil Herndon and a brother Ray, he is survived by his wife Ann, daughter Robyn H. Bryant of Murrells Inlet, SC; stepdaughter, Kim Suggs and her husband Ray of Ocean Isle Beach, NC; stepson Phillip Collins of Hope Mills, NC; and brother Bruce Herndon and his wife Tina of St. Pauls; and 9 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and several nieces and a nephew. The family suggests memorial contributions to St. Pauls Presbyterian Church, PO Box 283, St. Pauls, NC 28384 or the Annie Hubbard McEachern Public Library, 221 W.
