Irene Blackburn

Irene Musselwhite Blackburn, 88, of St. Pauls died Tuesday May 26, 2015 in Lumberton. She was born in St. Pauls November 13, 1926 to the late James Archie Musselwhite and Delilah Ann Bell.  She started working at E.Z. Musselwhite Grocery Store at a young age and eventually became the owner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred L. Blackburn. She is survived by her daughter, Donna B. Townsend and her husband David; son, Louie Blackburn; grandson, Drew Townsend and his wife Tracey; and great granddaughter Riley Townsend. The family will receive friends at Donna's house. Visitation will be one hour before the funeral, Saturday May 30, 2015 from 1:00-2:00 PM at McNeill Mackie Funeral Home of St. Pauls, with funeral services scheduled for 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to St. Pauls United Methodist Church, 519 N.
