"JR" Smith, Jr.

"JR" William Nash Smith, Jr., 63, of Fayetteville, North Carolina, formerly of Whiteville, died Saturday December 12, 2015. He was born in Robeson County February 10, 1952 to Lula Mae Blount Smith and the late William Nash Smith, Sr. A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held Wednesday December 16, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at McNeill Mackie Funeral Home of St. Pauls, with a visitation scheduled for one hour prior to the service, from 1:00-2:00 p.m. He was a mechanic in the textile industry working in the textile mills in St. Pauls. Mr. Smith, also, coached football at Whiteville High School. He is survived by his daughters, Tammy Smith Rybak and Debbie Smith; mother, Lula Mae Smith; brother, Jerry Smith; his companion, Sparkie, the dog he loved; and a host of relatives and friends.
