James Brisson

October 2, 1937 — January 19, 2021

Retired Chief Master Sergeant (CMSgt) James “Josh” E. Brisson, age 83, of Fayetteville, NC, passed away on January 19, 2021 at his home.

(Ret) CMSgt Brisson was born and raised in Parkton, NC.  During his long life, he traveled the world but returned to live in his beloved NC in 2017.  He was preceded in passing by his wife, Elizabeth Brisson.  He is survived by his two children, Darren and Kerry; his brother, William Brisson; and his sisters, Doris Underwood and Melba Trioli.

(Ret) CMSgt Brisson was a Vietnam veteran and enjoyed a long and distinguished 30-year career with the US Air Force.  He was also proud of his fourteen years of civil service with the Army Corps of Engineers.  Outside of work, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, target shooting, and was a lover of good food (especially leftovers).  He cherished family & friends and never knew a stranger.  He will be sorely missed by all that loved him.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, January 24, 2021 at the Parkton Cemetery, 283 S Fayetteville Street, Parkton, NC.  The family will receive friends after the service in the Parkton Baptist Fellowship Hall at 28 S Fayetteville Street.
