James Brisson

Retired Chief Master Sergeant (CMSgt) James “Josh” E. Brisson, age 83, of Fayetteville, NC, passed away on January 19, 2021 at his home.

(Ret) CMSgt Brisson was born and raised in Parkton, NC.  During his long life, he traveled the world but returned to live in his beloved NC in 2017.  He was preceded in passing by his wife, Elizabeth Brisson.  He is survived by his two children, Darren and Kerry; his brother, William Brisson; and his sisters, Doris Underwood and Melba Trioli.

(Ret) CMSgt Brisson was a Vietnam veteran and enjoyed a long and distinguished 30-year career with the US Air Force.  He was also proud of his fourteen years of civil service with the Army Corps of Engineers.  Outside of work, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, target shooting, and was a lover of good food (especially leftovers).  He cherished family & friends and never knew a stranger.  He will be sorely missed by all that loved him.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, January 24, 2021 at the Parkton Cemetery, 283 S Fayetteville Street, Parkton, NC.  The family will receive friends after the service in the Parkton Baptist Fellowship Hall at 28 S Fayetteville Street.

To the Brisson FamiliesWe are so very sorry to read about Joshs passing. I went to send him a picture taken of Jim and me today and couldnt locate his FB page. That is when I went to the internet. We were stationed up at Loring AFB at the very top of Maine. Jim and Josh was in the Parachute shop. Been friends ever since in all our travels. I am so very sorry

Josh was the sweetest, kindness and most generous man I've ever known. A true gentleman. I am blessed to have shared for a short time a part of his life. I will keep him and the memories we shared in my heart until we meet again.

From Michael, Colleen, David Liz, all of our families, and your friends,, in Hinckley, Leicestershire, England. Our sorrow, and shock, at this terrible news, is huge. We will miss this gentleman greatly. At least he is now reunited with Betty. Thank you for the loving memories that you have left in our hearts.
