James Martin

James S. Martin, 89, of St. Pauls, NC died Tuesday January 17, 2012 at the Golden Living Center in Lumberton. A native of Horry County, South Carolina, he was born January 12, 1923 to the late Soloman Henry and Alice Mew Martin. He was a US Army veteran of WWII. He attended Great Marsh Baptist Church and was faithful in his Christian life. He was preceded in death by his wife Julia Ann Horne Martin. He is survived by his daughter, Retha Hobbs; brother, Leroy S. Martin; 3 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Funeral services will be Saturday 1/21/2012 at 1:00 PM at Great Marsh Baptist Church, St. Pauls, with the Reverend Don Goforth officiating. A visitation is scheduled one hour before the service. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery. Arrangements by McNeill Mackie Funeral Home, St. Pauls.
