Jimmy Watts

Garner, NC---Jimmy Cecil Watts, 70, died May 25, 2013 at Rex Hospital in Raleigh. He was born in Columbus County April 10, 1943 to the late Everette Lawson and Rebecca Long Watts. He was a professional athlete throughout his life, serving as a tennis instructor and a teaching golf pro.  He is survived by a son, Brian Watts of Greensboro; daughter, Dr. Jana Watts of Ashville; brothers, Billy Watts of Wilmington and Gene and Vincent Watts of Richmond, VA; sisters, Teresa Mordini of Mt. Vernon, VA, Sharon Watts of Virginia Beach, VA and Linda Barnhill of Lake Waccamaw; and 3 grandchildren. A Graveside Memorial Service will be held Saturday June 15, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Whiteville Memorial Cemetery, 1434 James B. White Hwy N, Whiteville, NC, with Father Trent Watts officiating. Arrangements by McNeill Mackie Funeral Home, St. Pauls.
