Joel Parnell, Sr

Joel Hall Parnell, Sr., 52, of Parkton, NC died Tuesday 3/8/2016 at his home. The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Friday 3/11/2016 at Parkton Baptist Church, with Reverends William Beasley and David Hudson officiating. Burial will follow at Parkton Cemetery. Mr. Parnell was a member of Parkton Baptist Church. Surviving are his son, Joel Hall Parnell, II; his father and mother, Earl and Josie Parnell of Parkton; sisters, Cynthia Alexander of Charlotte and Martha Nance and her husband Fred of Nashville, Tenn.; three nieces and three nephews. Words cannot express the how sorry I am for the Parnell family. Joe was a wonderful friend and special person in my life for many decades. We will never be the same but are blessed to have had him in our lives , if only for a short time. RIP restless wanderer, may you find peace and comfort Thank you for the memoriesI am heartbroken. If there were a "Parkton Hall of Fame", Joe would most certainly be a charter member. I'll always remember playing guitar,hunting, target shooting and fishing with Joe. He never met a stranger and had a sense of humor that could get a laugh from anyone! God Bless Joe & the Parnell Family!
