Joseph Daniel

Joseph Marsh Daniel, 86, of Parkton, NC died Tuesday 9/2/2014 in Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton. A private family service will be scheduled at a later date. He was born in Robeson County June 20, 1928 to the late Enoch Bird and Ethel Marsh Daniel. A graduate of Duke University, he retired from teaching with a career in education that included teaching with Red Springs City Schools, Parkton City Schools, Ft. Bragg, Fayetteville Senior High School, E. E. Smith High School, Reid Ross High School, Highsmith Hospital School of Nursing and Methodist College.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Henry Andrew Daniel. He is survived by his wife Betsy Smith Daniel; son, Joseph Marsh Daniel, Jr.; daughters, Marylen Forbis, Betsy Claire McMillan, and Sarasue Walker; 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
