Joyce Crenshaw

November 29, 1944 — July 3, 2020

Joyce Dean Drury Crenshaw, 75, of St. Pauls, went to be with our Lord and Savior on July 3rd, 2020. She was born in Glenn County, Georgia on November 29, 1944 to the late Lloyd and Alene Rozier Drury. Joyce loved to be called Beautiful by Papa because that is what her life was...Beautiful. Joyce loved her family with all her heart and dedicated her life to her family. She was a homemaker but that doesn’t describe what her life was about, a family maker describes who she really was. Nannie was a very strong woman who believed there was nothing more important than her family in her life. Nannie spoke her mind always, and “Oh Yeah” her love was just as strong as her will. You could see that in every aspect of her life. Nannie had many accomplishments in her life that revolved around her family; Some of these include being a Girl Scout Troop Leader and Band Booster President for many years. Her greatest accomplishment was raising a beautiful family. Nannie never missed an event or function where either her children, grandchildren, or great-grandchildren were involved in. Look in the audience and you would always see Nannie sitting there smiling and waving. We cannot describe in these few lines how much of an impact Nannie had on the lives of our family. All we know is that we love and miss her dearly. Preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Alene Drury and brothers, Lloyd M. Drury Jr., Ervin Drury, and Larry Drury, she is survived by her husband, Jerry A. Crenshaw Sr.; children, Jerry A. Crenshaw Jr., Richard Crenshaw and wife Cammy, and Kim Proffer and husband Craig; 7 grandchildren: Rachel Crenshaw, Nicholas Crenshaw, Malarie Williams and husband Chase, Megan Hickman and husband Justin, Billie Porritt and husband Tyler, Dean Crenshaw and Justin Proffer; 7 great grandchildren: Troy, Clark, Celeste, Julie, Ross, Benjamin and Violet; and sisters, Angie Parrish and Debbie Clark. The family will be having a celebration of life at the home at a later date. Arrangements by McNeill Mackie Funeral Home of St. Pauls.
