Kathleen Monroe

Kathleen Parks Monroe, 87, of St. Pauls, North Carolina died Tuesday April 4, 2017 at Highland Acres Nursing Home in Lumberton, NC. She was born November 25, 1929 in Scotland County, NC to the late Robert and Nannie McArthur Parks. She retired from Burlington Textiles as a spinner and following retirement she then went to work for Walmart as a greeter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Howard Colin Monroe and daughters, Kay Rozier and Gail Monroe. She is survived by sons, Bobby Monroe and Paul Monroe; daughter, Miriam Stedman and her husband Ronnie; grandchildren, Tara Rozier, Colon Rozier, Jonathan Stedman and his wife Shanna, Joshua Stedman,  Katie Monroe, Zachary Monroe, Tim Monroe and his wife Renee, Crystal Kersey and her husband Randy, and Brian Monroe; 12 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. A visitation is scheduled for Friday April 7, 2017 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at McNeill Mackie Funeral Home of St. Pauls with a Graveside Funeral Service being held Saturday April 8, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Tolarsville Baptist Church Cemetery with the Reverend Jeff Broadwell officiating.
