Lina Nussbaum

Lina Allen Nussbaum, 98, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, formerly of St. Pauls, North Carolina, died Tuesday April 23, 2013 in Sentara-Virginia Beach General Hospital. A graveside service is scheduled for Friday April 26, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Gardens of Faith Cemetery in Lumberton. She was born in Southern Pines, North Carolina on September 21, 1914 to the late Joseph and Asa Bunting Gregory Allen. She was a contracts specialist with the Department of Defense, working for both the US Air Force and US Navy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Saul Nussbaum; brother, J. Yates Allen; and sister, Lucy Allen Riddle. She is survived by her daughter, Robin Nussbaum Scott and her husband Dennis; son, Ronald Nussbaum; granddaughter, Amy Butcher and her husband Dale; grandsons, Brian Scott and his wife Jennifer and Charles Scott and his wife Jennifer; great grandsons, Ben and Eli Butcher and Andrew Scott; and many nieces and nephews.
