I was so sorry to hear of Linwood's passing. I so enjoyed coming into Tarpackers for many years while working in St. Pauls and Parkton and always being greeted by him. It was such a pleasure to chat and tease with him while there. He was a friendly, happy and kind man. My thoughts and prayers go out to you Sara and your family.

Dearest Sara and Janna, My heart goes out to you.... I remember when you and I were next-door neighbors in St. Pauls and Linwood starting taking you out. What a wonderful couple you have always been....there is no doubt in my mind that Heaven is a happier place and that you have your Guardian Angel forever. Love always, Fran Sugar

To the Hayes family, please know that all of you are in my thoughts and prayers at this very difficult time. Mr. Linwood was a delight to meet and became a good friend during my years of Pastoring the Westview Church in St. Pauls. I will always remember his cheering smile and kind spirit whenever I met him at Tarpackers or on the street downtown. May God bring you all the comfort you need at this time and the reassurance that we will see him again when those who have died in Christ arise from their graves/resting place when Jesus returns.

My prayers are being sent up for the family. What I remember about Linwood was his smile and his genuine way he could relate to people. I remember the times our families spent at First Baptist Church in Red Springs back during the day. RIP!!!!! D.L. Humphrey,Jr.
