In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Ralph Musselwhite and by brothers Herbert Bunyan Davis, and Allen Barker Davis.

She is survived by brothers Ira Stephen Davis, Harold Clingman Davis; sisters Annie Laura Taylor, and Shirley Winford Davis Taylor. Her son John Clifford Musselwhite, (Jane Lewis Musselwhite), her daughters Mary Jane Musselwhite Butler, and Dorothy Davis Musselwhite Harrell, (Steve Harrell). Her grandchildren, Athaleah Duncan Drummond, Amanda Jane Harrell Carter, (Keith Carter), Robert Butler Jr., two grandchildren by marriage, Vannessa Marie Capps, Jacinda Levon Snow, four great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Thank you for sharing this story. I am the first grandchild and I was born that year, 1979, in Sept. We were living in California, but I found a lot of pictures from that Christmas and we were here in NC. I was meeting Grandma Musselwhite for the first time.
