Paul Monroe

Paul Timothy Monroe, 58, of the Tolarsville Community, died February 4, 2019. He was born in Robeson County, NC December 31, 1960 to the late Howard Colon and Kathleen Parks Monroe. He loved to cook and pecan pie was his specialty. When he made one, he made several so all his family members could have their own. He was a giver and found joy in caring for others. More than anything, he loved playing with his granddaughter, Aubree. She lifted his spirits when nothing else could. In addition to his parents, Howard and Kathleen Monroe, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Kay Rozier and Judy Gail Monroe. He is survived by his daughter, Katie McKenzie and her husband Matt of Fairmont; son, Zachary Paul Monroe of St. Pauls; granddaughter, Aubree Kay McKenzie; sister Miriam Stedman; brother, Bobby Monroe; and 2 step-sisters. A visitation will be held Wednesday February 6, 2019 from 7:00-9:00 pm at McNeill Mackie Funeral Home of St. Pauls. A graveside funeral service is scheduled for Thursday February 7, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Tolarsville Baptist Church Cemetery with the Reverend Tim Tyner officiating.
