Paul Strickland

Paul Lloyd Strickland, 71, of Parkton, NC died Friday September 9, 2016. He was born in Robeson County on October 3, 1944 to the late William Harvey Strickland, Sr. and Gladys Rogers Strickland. After many years of service, he retired from Kelly Springfield Tire Company located in Fayetteville, NC in 2006. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Charles W. Strickland. He is survived by his loving wife, Athena Hester Strickland; daughters, Lynn Ward and her husband James, Brenda Sue Taylor, Paula Plummer and her husband David; sons, Elbert Strickland and his wife Denise, Keith West and his wife Maria, Timothy Lloyd Strickland and his fiancé Amanda Forrester; grandchildren, Sean Ward and his wife Mitzi, Stephanie Ward, Brandon West, Kelly West, Kaitlyn West, Jonathan Greene, Rikki Taylor, Stephen Taylor, Joshua Seals and Allen Seals; great grandchildren, Jordan Cribb, Chloe Ward, and Peyton Ward; brothers, William H. Strickland, Jr. and James Robert Strickland; an aunt, Willodean Rogers Grant; an uncle Ray Rodgers; and host of nieces and nephews. A visitation is scheduled for Tuesday September 13, 2016 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at McNeill Mackie Funeral Home of St. Pauls with a funeral service being held Wednesday September 14, 2016 at 1:00 PM in McNeill Mackie Funeral Home Chapel, with the Reverend David Hodge officiating. Burial in Oak Ridge Cemetery will follow. Arrangements by McNeill Mackie Funeral Home of St. Pauls.
