Preston Collins

Preston Hughes Collins, 76, of Fayetteville, North Carolina, formerly of St. Pauls, NC, died Friday September 19, 2014 at The Rehab and Heath Center at Village Green in Fayetteville, NC.  The family plans for a Celebration of Life memorial service at a later date. He was born December 9, 1937 in Transylvania, Virginia to the late Roy Williamson and Patty Bradner Collins. He worked with Burlington Industries for many years and then became a Field Engineer for the Lumbee River Electrical Membership Cooperative. He was a graduate of  Virginia Tech (VPI) in Blacksburg, VA and was a member of St. Pauls Masonic Lodge #474, St. Pauls, NC. He is survived by his son, Phillip H. Collins and his wife Carol; daughter, Kim Suggs and her husband Ray; brothers, Frank Collins and Jim Collins; sister, Pam Weeks; grandchildren, Taylor Collins, Emily Evans, Rebecca Collins, Greg Suggs and Elizabeth Suggs; and 2 great grandchildren.
