Guestbook

I used to live in Lumber Bridge, and while I did not know Wanda very well, I certainly knew her very special and loving parents and grandparents.I want to express my deepest sympathy to the family, and especially to Mary Ammons, who has had to suffer the loss of her daughter.May God rest Wanda's soul in peace, and may her spiritual presence or the many happy memories that Wanda gave to the family, be there from time to time to give comfort to Mary and to the family, who was always so very kind to me, and to my husband and children. Sincerely, Sarah (Mrs. Michael) Schmidt

Ms. Wanda Ammons will surely be missed by many. I had the pleasure of working with Ms. Ammons when she was the Principal at Southside Ashpole. She was one of the most compassionate people I have ever worked with. She treated the students of her school as if they were her children. Her kindred spirit and soft spoken voice made immeasurable impressions on many lives, including mine. The world was a better place with Wanda Ammons in it. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends.

I met Wanda when I went to work in the Personnel Department of the Public Schools of Robeson County in 1995.I often helped her to find teachers for her school. She was such a lovely person---sweet, kind, devoted to her profession, and a hard worker. Her staff was so fortunate to have her as their principal.I admired and respected her very much. She was all about the children and about helping others. My life was enriched by having known her.

I worked with Ms. Wanda K. Ammons at Southside-Ashpole. She was such a sweet, loving and kindhearted person. She loved the students like they were her own. She was a lady in every mention of the word. She had such a sweet spirit that filled the room when she would speak. If you learned anything about Ms. Ammons by being around her. It was that she loved her family with all her heart.A very kind and wonderful friend. Sleep on with the peace that only God can give. Thank God for the opportunity to have worked with her. You will be missed "Wanda Kay", as she told me so many time her father would call her when he was getting her straight about things.
