Atlas Byrd Barnes, 84, of Shannon, NC died Saturday 11/26/2011 at Pembroke Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. He was a veteran of the Army of the United States. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday 11/29/2011 at 2:00 PM at Rex Presbyterian Church, Rex, NC, Pastor BeBe Briggs officiating. Burial will follow in Rex Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Viewing/Visitation will be Monday 11/28/2011 from 6—8 PM at McNeill Mackie Funeral Home, St. Pauls. He is survived by his daughter Faye M. Barnes; son, David A.
