Betsy Daniel

Betsy Smith Daniel, 91, of Parkton died Tuesday August 10, 2021 with family at her side. She was born in Greensboro, North Carolina on June 2, 1930 to the late Joseph Colbert and Bernice Parker Smith. A woman of faith, she was a member of Parkton United Methodist Church. She attended Duke University and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Following graduation, she served as the Librarian at Fayetteville Technical Community College.

In addition to her parents, Joseph and Bernice Smith, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Marsh Daniel and son, Henry Andrew Daniel. She is survived by a son, Joseph Marsh Daniel, Jr.; daughters, Marylen Forbis, Betsy Claire McMillan, and Sarasue Walker; 8 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. The family is being served by McNeill Mackie Funeral Home of St. Pauls.
