Carol Jean Hunt, 77, of Raleigh, North Carolina, formerly of Robeson County, passed away on Friday, October 30, 2026, at her home.

Carol was born on September 9, 1949, in Robeson County, North Carolina, to the late Dempsey Morgan and Nina Sampson Morgan.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David E. Hunt; and one son, Damien Hunt.

She leaves to cherish her memory two sons, James Hunt of Raleigh, North Carolina, and Sean Hunt (Kristen) of Raleigh, North Carolina; two grandchildren, David Scott Hunt and Sean Taylor Hunt; three brothers, Steve Morgan (Ruth), David Morgan, and Phillip Morgan (Vann), all of St. Pauls, North Carolina; one sister, Carleen Locklear (Wallace) of St. Pauls, North Carolina; along with several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of McNeill-Legacy Funeral Home, with Rev. Jackson Locklear officiating. Burial will follow in Lumbee Memorial Gardens in Pembroke, North Carolina.

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Saturday from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
