Mrs. Cindy Lou (McDuffie) Haddock, age 65 of Fayetteville, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2026 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville.
Born on March 25, 1960, in Cumberland County to the late Charles W. and Edith G. McDuffie, Cindy was a woman of creativity, compassion, and quiet strength. She was known for her love of writing and self-expression, and she shared her gifts as a talented songwriter and poet. Cindy devoted much of her life to caring for others, reflecting a heart that was both nurturing and generous.
Cindy worked as an editor with The Fayetteville Observer, where her dedication and attention to detail left a lasting impression. She also spent time working at K&W Cafeteria, forming many friendships along the way.
She will be lovingly remembered for her gentle spirit, her thoughtful nature, and the love she gave so freely to those around her.
Cindy is survived by her son, Joshua Wayne Haddock (Arella) of Parkton; her cherished granddaughter, Emily Michelle Haddock; her brother, Charles William McDuffie, Jr. of Hope Mills; and her sister, Phyllis M. McDuffie of Parkton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles William McDuffie and Edith Griffin McDuffie, and her sister, Cathy Faulkner.
At the request of the family, please dress casual with cheerful colors.
