Connie Bryant Boutselis was born December 30,1953. She was preceded in death by her parents Samuel & Lula Bryant. She went home to be with the Lord on December 18, 2025 with family by her side.
Left to cherish her memories are her high school sweetheart and husband of 53 years, Christopher Boutselis. Her daughter Alison Boutselis Collins (Jamie), Kaitlyn Morgan Collins (granddaughter), Christopher Jaymes(CJ) Collins (grandson), and Jordyn Samuel Collins (grandson) all of Maxton. Her son Christopher Scott Boutselis (Iris), Christopher Xaiver Boutselis (grandson), Leslie Bryce Boutselis (grandson), Cyran Seth Dial (Kinsley) grandson, Cohnor Slate Dial (great-grandson), Keeley Malane Dial (great-granddaughter), Aaron Blake Strickland (Maranda) grandson, Aiden Brae Strickland (great-grandson), Axton Bradley Strickland (great-grandson) of Maxton. A sister, Tammy Woods (Brian) of Aberdeen, and two brothers Paul and Justin Bryant of Maxton.
Grandchildren have a way of changing things and for Connie they changed her name. She became “Nanny Connie”, and she could not have been happier than to be known in this new and special way. The time she had previously enjoyed in her yard would now be shared with little ones. They would spend many days enjoying nature. Together they would search for bird nest and then await the arrival of baby birds. She was always excited to tell them about the squirrels, rabbits, and even the chickens that would make their home in her yard. Her love for flowers and plants were evident as they brightened her yard and her heart. She looked forward to their annual displays of beauty each season.
She was a giver in many ways and was known to us as the QVC and Home Shopping Network (HSN) Queen always bearing gifts to those she loved. She had the heart to serve others and did just that in so many ways. To see her with family and friends was to witness her in her true element and her absolute happiest. Whether it was making memories on a trip to the mountains, a trip to the coast, or just hanging out in her home to have them all together was what she most desired. She cherished “time”. Time with family, childhood friends, and lifelong friends was precious to her. Even her hardest days could be softened with visits from those she loved as well as a reminder that some bonds never break, even with the passing of time. Connie would come to know the Lord as her Savior at her home church, Cherokee Holiness Methodist Church and has been a member of Prospect Community Church for the past 33 years. Her life was not without it’s challenges but through it all she never forgot the power of a Mighty God and “How Great Thou Art”. The evidence of His goodness was seen all over her life. She endured with such dignity, strength, and grace. So, this is not good-bye dear sister just a never-failing promise that we will meet again.
McNeill-Legacy Funeral Home is honored to serve the Boutselis family.
