Connie Renee Monroe Walters

On March 21, 2024 the world lost one of its most dazzling stars. Connie Renee Monroe Walters passed away surrounded by family, being told how loved she is.

Renee was an absolute treasure (and sometimes a delightful dash of chaos) to anyone who knew her. Her fun, entertaining, and caring demeanor made it easy to love her even if you just met her. She LOVED doing things for others, whether it be trying to make them laugh, or helping with anything they needed, or even baking them something sweet to help brighten their day. She'd adopt you as family almost instantly, no questions asked.

Renee is survived by her mother; Connie Dowless Dove; daughter, Brittany Monroe; her husband, David Walters; step-daughter; Victoria Flores; her brother, Gaston Monroe; her sisters, Jessica Hunt and Morgan Monroe; her nieces and nephews Marcus, Lydia, Anthony, Michael, Ryan, Austin, Noah, Elijah, Breanna, Alicia, Anaya, Angel, Amir, Ayden, and Destiny; and her grandchildren, Austin, Brandon, Jayden, Bradley, and Scarlett; and a very large extended family that loved her as much as she loved them.

She is preceded in death by her father, William Monroe Sr; her sister, Crystal Monroe McLamb; her in-laws, Norman and Maxine Walters.

Service will be held from 4PM to 7PM on Friday, March 29, 2024 at Love Grove Baptist Church in Tar Heel, NC.
