Coralie Zirkle Bishop

Coralie Zirkle Bishop, age 75, of Saint Pauls, NC departed this life May 26, 2023 at UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton surrounded by family.  

Born in Washington D.C. Aug. 1, 1947, Coralie spent much of her early years in Virginia and had a life-long love of the Shenandoah Valley.  Her family moved to South Carolina where she met and married Kelly Bishop. The couple had three sons (Vance, Warren, and Keith) and settled in Parkton N.C. in 1975.  Coralie was a 35-year employee of Robeson County Public Schools, a member of Parkton Presbyterian Church, and lead/participated in various clubs and church groups during her 47+ years in Robeson County. She had many dear friends through those years, whose company, conversations, vacations and shared experiences she cherished tremendously.  

Coralie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She sought every opportunity to support and assist her family and friends at all times, but especially during life's challenges. She was preceded in death by mother, Lee Hammer Zirkle; father, John Larrick Zirkle; husband, Kelly Bishop; brother, John Zirkle, Jr.; and second husband Paul Lewis.

Coralie leaves to cherish her memory her three sons Vance Bishop; Warren Bishop (and wife Dawn Bishop); Keith Bishop (and wife Beverly Bishop); grandchildren Patrick Bishop (and wife Katelyn Bishop), Lindsey Bishop, Holly Bishop, and Madison Bishop; three great grandchildren, Adalynn Bishop, Octavia Bishop, and Evelyn Bishop.

The family will receive friends, Thursday, June 1, 2023, from 12:00pm-1:00pm at McNeill Legacy Funeral Home (319 West Broad Street, St. Pauls, N.C.). The funeral service will follow from 1:00pm-2:00pm, with the graveside service being held immediately following at Parkton Cemetery.
