Craig Allen Horne

Craig Allen Horne, age 67, of Hope Mills, North Carolina, passed away on February 5, 2026, at his residence.

Born September 2, 1958, in Cumberland County, North Carolina, Craig was the son of the late Perry H. Horne and Lannie Scott Horne. He spent his life rooted in Cumberland County and worked with the Purolator Co. prior to retiring.

Craig was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sharon McLeod Horne; and his brothers, Jerry Horne and Kenneth Horne; as well as his sister, Margaret Horne.

He is survived by his brothers, Ronald Hal Horne (Sandra) of Lumber Bridge and Neil Stanley Horne of Stedman; along with three nieces and nephews, including Dana Horne, Kevin Horne and Christy Horne; four great nieces and nephews, Leanna Carter, Joshua Thomas, Destiny Carter, and Millie Horne a host of other relatives and friends.

Craig enjoyed the simple things in life. He especially loved fishing and camping, finding peace and enjoyment outdoors. These moments brought him comfort and happiness and were among his favorite ways to spend time.

A funeral service will be held at McNeill-Legacy Funeral Home Chapel, Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at 2:00p.m. with Rev. Terry Dooley officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Big Rockfish Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
