Eugene Caulder, 77 of St. Pauls was born April 25, 1945 in Robeson County to the late Cliston and Frances Caulder and departed this life, Saturday, August 6, 2022 surrounded by his family at Womack Army Medical Center in Fort Bragg, NC.
In addition to his parents, Eugene is preceded in death by his brothers, Grady Caulder and Richard Caulder.
Eugene leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 57 years, Doris Caulder of the home; two sons, Jeff Caulder and wife Deana and James Caulder and wife, Lori all of St. Pauls; a daughter, Renee Caulder of St. Pauls; five granchildren, Jeffrey, Dawson, Jared, Connor and Jason; three great grandchildren, Colton, Layton and Grayson; a brother, Carey Caulder; a sister, Elouise Sutton; several nieces and nephews whom he loved as his own, along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Eugene served in the US Marine Corps from 1966-1969 and is a Vietnam Veteran; he then went on to serve in the North Carolina National Guard until retiring. Eugene also retired from working for the NC Department of Transportation.
Eugene loved to fish and had a hobby of woodworking. Eugene loved his family and always welcomed anyone into his home with open arms and a big smile. He was loved by all that knew him and will be greatly missed.
