Felicia Mackie Petty

Felicia Mackie Petty, 52, of Charlotte passed away December 31, 2022. She was born March 22, 1970 in South Miami, FL, a daughter of Duncan V. and Nancy S. Mackie.

Felicia was a woman of faith. She was an avid Florida State football fan and NASCAR fan, especially Mark Martin. Felicia loved country music and spending time with her girls and grandsons.

In addition to her parents, Felicia is survived by her husband, Vernon Lee Petty; daughters, Heather Leah Petty and Nicole Dawn Petty; sister, Dr. Cara T. Mackie and her husband, Shaun Miller; brother, Dr. Duncan Ian Mackie and his daughter, Kiara Mackie; grandchildren, Ayden Christopher Petty and Wyatt Edward King; and many friends and extended family.    

The family will receive friends from 12:00pm until 1:00pm at McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia on Wednesday, January 4, 2023.  

A graveside service will follow at 1:30pm on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at Hollybrook Cemetery in Lincolnton.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Novant Health Hospice and Palliative Care, 200 Hawthorne Lane, Charlotte, NC 28204.
