Fred Lewis “Louie” Blackburn, Jr.

Fred Lewis "Louie" Blackburn, Jr.  was born July 3, 1947 in Robeson Co. to the late Fred L.  Blackburn, Sr. and Irene Musselwhite Blackburn and departed this life March 8, 2022 at UNC - Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton. 

In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by his  grandparents, Jimmy and Delilah Musselwhite and Beady and David Blackburn. 

Fred is survived by a sister, Donna Townsend and husband David; a nephew Andrew Townsend and wife Tracey and a great neice Riley.  

Fred retired from the Army-National Guard with 26 years of service.  Louie loved to help people, he was proud to be a charter  member of the Big Marsh Fire Department and former EMT. Fred was a Licensed  Electrician and He was a member of St. Paul's Methodist Church.  In his younger days, Louie loved to Bow hunt;Lastly, Louie had a great love for animals.
