Rev. Gerald Wesley Wilson

February 28, 1947 — March 29, 2022

Rev. Gerald Wesley Wilson, age 75 of St. Pauls was born February 28, 1947 in Cumberland Co., NC to the late Clarence and Elizabeth White Wilson and went home to be with the Lord, March 29, 2022 at UNC Heath Southeastern in Lumberton.

In addition to his parents, Gerald is preceded in death by his brothers, James F. Wilson and Tony Marshall Wilson, along with his mother in-law, Hettie B. Brown.

Rev. Wilson leaves to cherish his memories and mourn his passing, his loving wife, Irene S. Brown Wilson of the home;  his daughter, Gerris Lupo (Steven) of St. Pauls; two brothers, George Wilson of Fayetteville and Robert Wilson of Lancaster, SC; one sister, Mary Strickland of Clayton and a host of other relatives and friends.

Rev. Wilson is a US Army Veteran and retired as Southern Baptist Preacher after serving for over 40 years. Rev. WIlson earned his Divinity Licensure at Wake Forest University. Rev. Wilson pastored Carolina Baptist Church, Clybonville Baptist Church and Butters Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, contibutions can be made to McNeill-Legacy Funeral Home for funeral expenses of Rev. Wilson.
