Gregory Giles

Gregory Douglas Giles, 63, of Parkton died October 3, 2021. He was born in Cumberland County August 18, 1958 to the late Douglas Campbell and Fayezelle Allen Giles. He loved his wife, Annie, for a very long time and he really loved spending time with his children, grand-children and great grand-children. He gave each of them their own special nickname. Truly a kid at heart he loved cartoons, especially Scooby Doo. He kept Annie busy in the kitchen because he loved to eat country cooking, especially hot homemade biscuits with molasses. He was good with woodworking and kept busy working on lawnmowers. He liked the mountains and was good with all kinds of animals, but most of all he loved being with his family. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Mandy Greer; parents, Doug and Faye Giles; father-in-law, Melton McMillan; paternal grandparents, William Henry and Lettie Lee Giles; and maternal grandparents, Arnold and Bessie Allen. He is survived by his wife, Annie McMillan Giles; daughter, Jenny Chavis, son-in-law, Tony Greer; sister, Gail Bramble and her husband Damon; grandchildren, Jazmine Chavis, Jessy Chavis, Johanna Johnson, Kelsie Greer, and Doug Greer and his wife Brittany; great grandchildren, Jeremiah, Juliana, Danielle, Colton, Wyatt, and Lilly; mother-in-law, Earline McMillan; sister-in-law, Linda Eugenio; brothers-in-law, Malcolm McMillan and his wife Karen and Hugh McMillan; nieces, Teresa Daniels and her husband Jason, Meredith McMillan, and Leila Brooks; nephews, Eric Eugenio and his wife Jessi and Timothy Eugenio and his wife Odyssey.

Friends and family are invited to a visitation scheduled for Friday October 8, 2021 from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Mr. Giles residence, 626 Teds Road, Parkton, NC 28371. The family is being served by McNeill Mackie Funeral Home of St. Pauls.
