Guillermo Caballero

Guillermo “Chilly” Caballero Jr., 59, of Fayetteville NC, passed away Sunday, May 24th, 2020.

He was born on July 26th, 1960 in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, to the late Euricide Quiñones and Guillermo Caballero Sr, and later raised in New York City, NY, before finally settling down in Fayetteville, NC. His love for the latest tech gadgets/gizmos, comedy movies/tv shows, video games, and fashion, was second only to his unwavering love for family. His sense of humor, friendly demeanor, and non-judgmental nature made him someone you could confide in and trust. Most of all, as a person afflicted for years with chronic illnesses, Caballero was a fighter, and his example of staying strong and optimistic in the face of adversity is his greatest legacy.

He is survived by his wife Migdalia Caballero, son William David Caballero,  siblings Sammy Caballero, Luis Caballero, Evelyn Caballero, Evette Rodriguez, Ivan Rodriguez, Hermiño Rodriguez, Leticia Rodriguez, Ruthie Caballero, Mimi Caballero, mother-in-law Isolina Aponte, and step-mother Emerita Caballero. He was loved by many, including three sister-in-laws, three brother-in-laws, and countless loving nieces and nephews.

A family visitation is scheduled for Thursday May 28, 2020 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at McNeill Mackie Funeral Home of St. Pauls. A grave side funeral service will be held Friday May 29, 2020 at 12:00 noon at Oak Ridge Cemetery in St. Pauls. Arrangements by McNeill Mackie Funeral Home of St. Pauls.
