Hazel Byrd

Hazel Tolbert Byrd, 79, of Fayetteville, North Carolina died Friday November 19, 2010 while being lovingly cared for at her daughter, Nancy's, home in Hope Mills, NC. She was born April 20, 1931 to the late Virgil Dailey and Maggie Lena Johnson Tolbert in Mt. Airy, NC. One of her favorite childhood memories was walking to church on Sundays' with Andy Griffith and his family. She was a homemaker and is survived by daughters, Nancy Lewis and her husband David "Tony" Lewis of Chickenfoot Road, Hope Mills and Linda J. Marsh; brothers Jack Tolbert and Charles Tolbert and his wife Connie. Visitation will be at McNeill Mackie Funeral Home, St. Pauls on Tuesday November 23, 2010 from 6:00--8:00 PM with Funeral Services scheduled for  Sandy Grove United Methodist Church on Wednesday November 24, 2010 at 11:00 AM with the Reverend Dennis Lamm officiating. Entombment will follow in Cumberland Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Arrangements by McNeill Mackie Funeral Home, St. Pauls, NC.
