James Cobb, Jr.

James Jordan Cobb, Jr., 83, of Hope Mills, NC died Thursday 11/8/2012 at his home. He was born in Parkton, NC September 24, 1929 to the late James Jordan and Margaret Jones Cobb. The former owner of Parkton Nurseries and Pear Tree Nurseries, he served in the US Air Force and was a lifetime member of Parkton Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Hoa Cam Lu; daughters, Beth LaPrad and her husband Steve of Summerville, SC and Danita Rix and her husband David of Jacksonville Beach, FL; sons, James J. Cobb III of Summerville, SC and Stephan Cobb of Atlanta, GA; and grandchildren Brent, Tyler and Lindsey LaPrad of Summerville, NC and Jordan Puentes of Jacksonville Beach,FL. A funeral service will be Saturday 11/10/2012 at 2 PM in McNeill Mackie Funeral Home Chapel, St. Pauls, with Reverend Raymond Wade officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home Friday November 9, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Arrangements by McNeill Mackie Funeral Home, St. Pauls.
