Joshlyn “Lynn” Dunham Moore, 76, of Elizabethtown died Sunday October 17, 2021 at his home with family at his side. He was born in Bladen County on April 6, 1945 to the late Bartram Howe and Annie Louise Dunham Moore, Sr. To know him was to appreciate his fine sense of humor. He loved to Shag Dance, something he and his wife, Emily, were good at. Lynn was very athletic and sports minded, having played basketball, baseball, and football in high school and later golf. He was an avid NC State Wolfpack fan. No blue of any kind for him. In addition to his parents, Bartham and Annie Moore, he was preceded in death by sons, Thomas Dunham Moore and Clarance Lowell Moore; brothers, BH Moore Jr., Bill Moore, and Pete Moore; sisters, Bobbie Hersey, Margaret Davis and Nell Lee. He is survived by his wife of 37 ½ years, Emily Williford Moore; sons, Joshlyn “Lenny” Dunham Moore, Jr. and his wife Michelle, Bryan Heath Moore and his wife Kelli, Clayton Corey Moore and his wife Angie, Brandon G. Moore and his wife Argylle; sisters, Nancy Hinshaw and Diane Woodell; 15 grandchildren; one great grandchild; and many nieces, nephews and extended family. There will be a visitation on Wednesday October 20, 2021 from 1:30 pm until 2:00 pm at Beth Car Presbyterian Church in Tar Heel and friends may call on the family at home at other times. A Graveside Funeral Service will follow the visitation in Beth Car Presbyterian Church Cemetery at 2:00 pm Wednesday October 20, 2021, with Pastors May Craven and Johnny Simpson officiating. The family is being served by McNeill Mackie Funeral Home of St. Pauls.
