Mrs. Lois Mae Johnson Britt, age 75, of St. Pauls, North Carolina, departed this life on Sunday, June 7, 2026, at UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton, NC.

Born on March 19, 1951, in Cumberland County, North Carolina, Lois was the daughter of the late Preston Johnson and Beulah Johnson.

Lois was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and faithful servant of the Lord. She was united in marriage to her beloved husband, Jim Britt, for 58 wonderful years, sharing a life filled with love, faith, and family.

For over 40 years, Lois worked in retail, where she met many people and made lasting connections. She had a caring spirit and enjoyed ministering to others about Jesus. A faithful member of Calvary Cornerstone Holiness Church for over 50 years, her love for God and church family remained a guiding part of her life. Lois found joy in singing, shopping with her daughter, and spending precious time with her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she dearly loved.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory her devoted husband, Jim Britt of the home; one son, Ronnie Britt (Natalie) of St. Pauls; one daughter, Angela Gooden (Billy) of St. Pauls; brothers, Donnie Johnson of Grays Creek and Terry Johnson of Hope Mills; sisters, Margaret J. Stephens and Linda Pittman, both of Fayetteville; and four cherished grandchildren, Victoria Gooden, Bradley Gooden, Dillon Britt, and David Britt.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, David Johnson and Wayne Johnson, and her sister, Doris Johnson.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Thursday, June 11, 2026 at Calvary Cornerstone Holiness Church, with Rev. Dr. David Hodge and Rev. Roy Ivey officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Wednesday, June 10, 2026 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
