Margaret L DeLuca

March 23, 1936 — December 12, 2021

Margaret (Peggy) Lee DeLuca 85, of Saint Pauls North Carolina was born on March 23, 1936 in Hoke County to the late Henry H. and Mary (Seals) Edwards. She made her heavenly transition on Sunday December 12th 2021 at UNC Health Southeastern.

In addition to her parents, Ms. DeLuca was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony DeLuca, brothers Bruce Edwards, Vernon Edwards, Allen Edwards and James Edwards, sisters, Shelby Jean Edwards, and Sara Kaye Edwards. .


Ms. Deluca is survived by brothers Joe Edwards (Mary Ann) of St. Pauls, Norman Edwards of Red Springs; sisters Doris McLean of St. Pauls, Mary Janet Lineberry of Graham, and Susan Faye Lowery of Rex; a special Niece Dawn E Clayton (Jarvis) of Lumber Bridge and a special nephew Henry (Tommy) Edwards (Vonda) of St. Pauls, special great niece Jada Clayton of Wilmington, and host of other nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.


Ms. DeLuca was a homemaker who enjoyed crafts and cooking. For the ones who knew and loved her, she was famously known for her meatballs and sausage, as well as her New York style Cheesecakes. She loved her family dearly and spent many years looking after the children.


Visitation will be Wednesday December 15th at 1:00pm and the funeral following at 2:00pm at Second Baptist Church in St. Pauls. The family will be receiving friends at the home of Jarvis and Dawn Clayton: 1714 Murphs Road, Lumber Bridge NC.

McNeill-Legacy Funeral Home of St. Pauls is serving the family.
