Marie Hammond Rozier, age 86, of St. Pauls, North Carolina, departed this life on Thursday, September 3, 2026. She was born January 8, 1940, in Robeson County to the late William Hammond and Virginia Bell Hammond. Marie was a homemaker and a member of Great Marsh Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Rozier; brother, Miles Hammond; and sisters, Lorraine Bullard and Barbara Schantz.

She is survived by her son, Kevin Rozier (Jennifer) of Autryville; daughter, Mary Ann Pittman (Jerry) of Lumberton; sisters, Monica Gross and Dixie Craven, both of Fayetteville; four grandchildren, Jerry Pittman Jr. (Denise) of Bladenboro, Travis Pittman of Tennessee, Kailey Rozier (Ryver Hamet) of Autryville, and Aidan Rozier of Autryville; three great-grandchildren, Temperance Pittman, Trissilin Pittman, and Ryder Hamet; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at McNeill-Legacy Funeral Home in St. Pauls.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, September 10, 2026 at Great Marsh Baptist Church, with burial following in the church cemetery.
