Martha Ann Cobb Thompson

Ann (Sissy), 74, of Raleigh, NC was born August 5, 1947 in Fayetteville, NC to the late JD and Martha (House) Cobb and went to be with the Lord April 30, 2022 after a short fight with cancer.  

After completing Watts School of Nursing Ann married the love of her life, Duke University graduate, Ronald N. Thompson, of Robersonville, NC on September 6, 1969. They were blessed with two sons and two grandchildren.

Ann was known as a doting grandmother and crafting whiz completing numerous beautiful stained glass, woodworking and needlepoint projects.   She possessed a love of travel; by way of car, plane, bus or train.

Ann is survived by son, David of Arizona, son Edward and his wife Kerri of Texas, sister Peggy of Florida and brother Jimmy and his wife Sally of Lumber Bridge, grandchildren Noah and Nina; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband Ron Thompson and her parents JD and Martha Cobb.  

Interment will be at Parkton Cemetery, Parkton NC.
