Mary Kathy Cox Lamb, 69, of Parkton, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by the love of her family.
Kathy fought a long and courageous battle with lung cancer. Throughout her journey, she showed incredible strength and perseverance. She will be remembered most for the love she had for her family and the many memories she created with those closest to her.
Kathy was married to the love of her life, James Dale Lamb, for 44 years. Together, they built a life filled with love, family, and countless cherished memories.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marionette Mixon Cox and John Elwood Cox, and her sister, Marion Bryant.
Kathy leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband, James Dale Lamb (JD); her children, Stephanie Kinnison and husband Stanley, Anthony Lamb and wife Jennifer, and Robert Lee and wife Leslie.
She was a loving grandmother to Addyson, Jacob, Haylee, Madelyn, Bryson, Katie, Marissa, Dakota, and Alex. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Noah, Koa, and Elias.
Kathy is survived by her siblings, Brenda Dens, Carolyn Huggins, Virginia Kirstetter and husband Steve, and John Cox, along with several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many loved ones.
Kathy’s greatest legacy will be the love she gave to her family. Though her presence will be deeply missed, the love she shared and the memories she leaves behind will remain in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Liberty Home Health and Hospice Care for the compassionate care they provided to Mama during her final days. We are also deeply grateful to all of our family and friends for the love, prayers, support, and kindness you have shown us during this difficult time. Your presence and support have meant more to our family than words can express.
