Mary McKenzie

Mary Clellon McKenzie, 82, of Parkton, North Carolina died Friday September 3, 2010 at home. She was born in Hoke County, NC September 22, 1927 to the late Lonnie McDonald Chason and Elizabeth Bristow Chason. She was a homemaker and throughout her life she was very active in Sandy Grove United Methodist Church, teaching Sunday School, Youth Group Leader and regularly attending services. Mrs. McKenzie was preceeded in death by her husband James K. McKenzie. She is survived by her son, James D. McKenzie and his wife Emma; daughters, Glenda Chason and her husband Mike, and Teresa Rutledge; grandchildren, Stacey Halstead, Kevin McKenzie, Melinda Graham, and David Rutledge; and 10 great grandchildren. Visitation is scheduled for Sunday evening, September 5, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at McNeill Mackie Funeral Home, St. Pauls, NC. Funeral Services will be held Monday, September 6, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Sandy Grove United Methodist Church, with the Reverends Dennis Lamm, Mike Nelson and Jimmy Atkinson officiating. Arrangements by McNeill Mackie Funeral Home, St, Pauls.
