Nancy Byrd Lewis

Nancy Byrd Lewis, 70, of Hope Mills was born July 26, 1952 in Waco, Texas to the late James and Hazel Byrd and departed this life, September 17, 2022 at her residence.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her sister, Linda Marsh.

Nancy leaves to cherish her memories and mourn her passing, her husband David Anthony “Tony” Lewis of the home; a sister in-law, Terry Lewis of Fayetteville; also, her extended church family and friends.

Nancy was a loyal and devoted wife, daughter and friend.  Nancy was an avid outdoor enthusiast, she loved fishing, horse riding, especially trail rides and also was a NASCAR racing fan.  Nancy was a drummer and a great one at that.  She started playing drums in grade school, then as a student in high school, she was a drummer with the 71^st High School High School Marching Band.  Nancy played drums professionally with several bands throughout the years.  Nancy had a passion for photography and loved capturing special moments.  Nancy was a devoted member of Parkton United Methodist Church and played drums with the praise band.  She was a blessing to so many and will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
